Layering Your Makeup for the Best Results
Layering your make up in the correct order is super important.
After all, you’re taking the time to put it on in the morning, so you want it to look as smooth and flawless as possible, right?
If you’ve ever wondered whether you should use your cream products or your powders first I’m gonna answer this question for you.
Creams Always Go Before Powders
Now, as a makeup artist, as there are very few rules that I follow, but this is one of them.
I always add my cream products before I add my powders.
This helps your make up to spread more smoothly across your skin.
And by putting your powders on top of the creams, it helps to lock them in and make them last longer.
This rule applies to all liquid, cream and powders for the face.
How to Avoid Patchy Makeup
What I often see happening is that people try to apply liquid or cream blushes or bronzer on top of their powder make up.
This causes the makeup to skip across the skin instead of applying smoothly, and can make the makeup look patchy and uneven.
By layering your makeup the right way you’ll have smoother looking skin, longer wearing make up, and fewer touchups.
